Yn Ysgol Gymraeg Gwenllian rydym yn cynnig darpariaeth Meithrin o 3 mlwydd oed. Derbynnir plant i ddarpariaeth Methrin yr ysgol yn rhan-amser ar ddechrau'r tymor yn dilyn eu trydydd pen-blwydd fel a ganlyn:-

• yn Ionawr i'r rhai sy'n cael eu 3ydd pen-blwydd rhwng 1 Medi a 31 Rhagfyr;

• yn Ebrill i'r rhai sy'n cael eu 3ydd pen-blwydd rhwng 1 Ionawr a 31 Mawrth;

• ym Medi i'r rhai sy'n cael eu 3ydd pen-blwydd rhwng 1 Ebrill a 31 Awst.

Rydym yn argymell rhieni i ymgeisio yn gynnar oherwydd mae gan yr ysgol Nifer Derbyn (ND) sy’n nodi a chyfyngu ar faint o ddisgyblion y gallwn derbyn ym mhob grŵp blwyddyn yn yr ysgol. Os yw nifer y ceisiadau a dderbynnir am le mewn yr ysgol yn fwy na’r ND bydd blaenoriaeth i'r ceisiadau a dderbynwyd yn unol â’r meini prawf ar gyfer gor-alw.

Rhestr Aros

Pan na fu modd derbyn disgybl i ysgol oherwydd gor-alw, rhaid i’r rhieni roi gwybod i’r Awdurdod trwy e-bost neu lythyr os ydynt am i enw eu plentyn gael ei roi ar y rhestr aros a gedwir tan 30 Medi yn dilyn diwrnod cynnig y cylch derbyn arferol. Ar ôl y dyddiad hwn bydd y rhestri aros yn cael eu dileu a dylid nodi bod yn rhaid i geisiadau newydd gael eu cyflwyno ar ôl y dyddiad cau, sef 30 Medi.

Gall rhieni hefyd ymgeisio am le pan fydd y plentyn yn henach neu symud i'r ysgol os fydd angen. Er hyn, mae hyn yn dibynnu ar faint o lefydd sydd yn yr ysgol ar y pryd.

Important

At Ysgol Gymraeg Gwenllian we provide Nursery provision from the age of 3.

Children will be admitted to the Nursery provision (if successful) on a part-time basis at the beginning of the term following their third birthday as indicated below:-

• in January for those who have their 3rd birthday between 1st September and 31st December;

• in April for those who have their 3rd birthday between 1st January and 31st March;

• in September for those who have their 3rd birthday between 1st April and 31st August.

We advise parents to apply early as the school has an Admission Number (AN) which specifies and limits the number of pupils who can be admitted to each year group in the school. Should there be more applications than places available (which is common at Ysgol Gymraeg Gwenllian) then applications will be prioritized in accordance with the over-subscription criteria.

Should parents be unsuccessful in obtaining a place for their child at our school, they will be notified in writing of the reason(s) why a place has not been secured and also of their right to appeal against that decision and the process for doing so.

Waiting List

Where it has not been possible to admit a pupil to our school due to over subscription, parents must inform the Authority by email or letter if they wish their child’s name to be placed on the waiting list which will be retained until the 30th September following the normal admissions round offer day. After which date the waiting lists are scrapped and it should be noted that fresh applications must be made after the 30th September deadline.

Places can also be applied for at an older age and pupils can transfer to the school if needed. However this is dependant on school spaces at the time of application.
